From the moment Amboy Bank signed with Eko, it was clear this would be a genuine collaboration between two teams who shared the same goal: building a digital investing experience that was truly right for Amboy Bank customers. Today, we're thrilled to announce that Amboy Bank customers can now access Investments, the new digital investing experience from Amboy Financial Services, directly within their existing digital banking app.

This launch is the result of months of deep, iterative partnership between Eko and Amboy Bank, with thoughtful feedback, honest conversations, and a shared commitment to getting every detail right. Amboy Bank's team brought clear vision, high standards, and genuine engagement every step of the way, and Eko brought it to life in the platform. When Amboy Bank came to Eko, they came with a vision. Not just for a digital investing tool, but for a genuinely customized experience that reflected their values and their customers' needs. What followed was an intensive, back-and-forth pilot period that touched nearly every layer of the platform. Eko's product team worked hand-in-hand with the Amboy team through multiple iterations of the onboarding flow, refining questions, adjusting language, and tailoring the experience until it felt unmistakably Amboy. A custom account opening email, a personalized app name, custom disclosures, and a branded experience were all built with direct input from the Amboy team. Every automated communication customers receive carries the Amboy Financial Services identity, because that level of ownership matters to Amboy, it matters to us, and their customers deserve nothing less.

The collaboration went beyond surface-level customization. Eko's engineering team made meaningful structural changes to the platform that were inspired directly by Amboy's feedback, changes that weren't just cosmetic, but purpose-built to reflect Amboy's philosophy around responsible, accessible investing. When Amboy raised a concern or identified an opportunity, Eko listened, evaluated, and acted. That's how the best products get built.

The depth of that customization is visible at every touchpoint. A custom welcome screen greets customers from the moment they open the app. The account approval email includes specific language about the Amboy Bank and Eko partnership, so customers always understand who is behind the experience. Pre-built portfolio descriptions were enriched with clearer language about ETFs, fees, and investment methodology, including transparent explanations of the assumptions behind financial return projections shown in the UI. Support contact information was surfaced in more places throughout the app, and a Knowledge Center button was added to the bottom of every page, ensuring customers always have easy access to educational resources and help.

Designed to Lower the Barriers to Getting Started

One of the most intentional aspects of Amboy Financial Services Investments is that it doesn't overwhelm customers with decision fatigue.

Rather than presenting a full menu of portfolio options from day one, the platform is built around a single, focused starting point: professionally managed Core Portfolios built on Vanguard ETFs, broadly diversified, cost-efficient, and designed for long-term, buy-and-hold investors. There's no guesswork, no paradox of choice, and no unnecessary complexity for someone just beginning their investing journey.

For customers who are newer to investing, that simplicity is an invaluable feature. It means the first step is as low-risk and approachable as possible.

As customers build their portfolios and gain experience, the platform grows with them. Self-Directed Investing, which allows customers to select their own individual assets, unlocks once an investor reaches $10,000 invested in pre-built portfolios. This progression is by custom design, shaped through direct feedback from Amboy. This behavior ensures customers have established a diversified foundation before taking on the greater responsibility of building their own portfolio. Amboy and Eko worked extensively together to engineer this feature, carefully thinking through real-world scenarios to make sure the experience would be smooth, reliable, intuitive, and genuinely helpful for customers at every stage.

A custom onboarding question about investment time horizon was also added, because understanding how long someone plans to stay invested is fundamental to helping them on the right path from the start.

A Launch Earned Through Dedication

Bringing Amboy Financial Services Investments to life took focused effort, real teamwork, and a willingness on both sides to keep refining until the product was genuinely ready. Along the way, Eko executed three separate gift campaigns for distinct groups: a train-the-trainer program to prepare Amboy's internal teams, an employee launch to build internal confidence and familiarity with the platform, and a customer-facing promotion to celebrate the opening. Each required hands-on coordination and individualized attention from Eko's team.

Customer support reporting was enhanced with additional data fields to help Amboy's team stay informed. The onboarding flow was revisited and refined multiple times based on Amboy's direct feedback, each round of input leading to a sharper, more intuitive experience. Amboy's team was engaged, communicative, and specific in what they needed. That kind of partnership is what allows Eko to build something truly tailored rather than something off the shelf.

Features include recurring investment deposits, portfolio tracking alongside existing Amboy Bank accounts, and easy money movement between banking and investment accounts. And when they're ready to take a more hands-on approach, Self-Directed Investing will be waiting for them.
